SABA CON YELO with SAGO

Ingredients:

  • 12 pcs saging na saba (cut diagonally)
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup dried sago (tapioca pearls)
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • ice cubes, crushed ice or shaved ice

Procedures:

  • In a medium pot, add water. Bring to a boil.
  • Add dried sago (tapioca pearls). Cover and boil until the tapioca pearls are cooked.
  • Drain and set aside.
  • Cut saging saba diagonally.
  • In a medium pot, add water. Bring to a boil.
  • Add brown sugar, vanilla extract and saging saba.
  • Cover and cook until the bananas are tender.
  • Add the cooked tapioca pearls. Cook for few minutes.
  • Transfer to a serving dish. Add crushed or shaved ice and evaporated milk for added flavor.
  • Serve and enjoy!
